| Simultaneous
Interpretation of Languages. What is it?
Simultaneous
interpretation of languages is the complex
and specialized task of translating a conference
speaker at the same speed as he or she is
talking.
Interpreters mostly work in teams of two
for each language and listen to the person
speaking in the original language while
translating what that person just said and
continuing with this process until the person
has finished speaking.
This allows all of the conference participants
to listen to the conference speaker simultaneously
in their mother tongue and erases the language
barrier.
In order to provide quality translation
and simultaneous interpretation service,
we have very specialized equipment, ranging
from radio transmitters, antennas and receptors
to infrared equipment and transmission booths.
The type of equipment, connections and installations
depends on the conference requirements and
simultaneous interpretation needs of the
event.
The use of transmission
booths is very important since it isolates
the interpreter from the conference and
allowing for better concentration during
translation. The majority of multi-lingual
conferences require sound-proof booths that
must comply with estándar
ISO 4043 standards and must be large
enough to fit up to three people.
There are many world renown
translating equipment brands in the market,
the main one being William Sound, based
in the United States. We also provide other
recognized brands such as Phillips and Sony
in both digital and analog form.
